Sites Of Interest - January 25, 2005

Building or Remodelling? Look through the links to Concrete, Insulation, Insulated Windows, Heating & Cooling, Siding, Shingles, Roofing, Doors and Lighting. Don't forget to install a Radon mitigation system if needed. Got the Decorating Bug? See our links to Appliances, Cabinets, Countertops, Kitchen and Bath, Finishing, Flooring, Carpet, Tile,  Paint, Furniture and Home Decor.  Protect it all with a Home Security system. Get out in the yard. Our Gardening, Composting and Pruning pointers can help.

Still in the planning stages? Visit the Energy Efficiency, Strawbale and Photovoltaic sites for design information. Remember the back end to energy efficiency is a good Recycling program.  You might also find these links to Renewable Resources of interest.

Can't wait for a builder? Have a Manufactured Home delivered to your site.  Just can't wait period?  Then Do It Yourself.

If you are thinking of buying a home, see our links for Home Buyers first.  Explore some of the big all-in-one Home web sites to see what other folks are doing in and around the home.  With two cats in the yard, chances are you'll need to get to know your Veterinarian.

Lock the doors and go see the California Parks, National Parks and selected Museums. No wheels? Check the options in the Automotive section.   Just want to hide in the garage?  Try Woodworking, then look for the Tools you'll need.

Use the California State and Federal Government links to find free information fast.

Editor's Notes :

The link pages you see here have been generated from my Internet Explorer Favorites list with the help of a few recently completed Pascal programs.  This will permit more frequent updates and it will facilitate the highlighting of sites you have suggested.

The main criteria for inclusion in these lists is that the referenced site should provide some valuable, relevant or interesting information to the user.   Simple billboard-type web storefronts do not qualify.  Web as library, yes.   Web as phone book, no.  Go the distance.
